So who are 1st Lowtons Scout Group?

1st Lowton Scout Group is a part of Leigh District Scout Council who are in turn a part of

Greater Manchester West Scout County

We have 4 sections which cater from 6-18 years.

As Scouting is co-educational we enjoy the company of both male and female members of any race or faith.

At present, we have two Beaver Colonies, one Cub Pack, one Scout Troop and have a partnership agreement with Lowton Explorer Unit who also meet in our HQ.

Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family.

We meet on a Monday or Tuesday evening.  More details of what Beaver are and what our Colonies have been up to can be found by clicking the Logo.

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout. You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. We meet on a Monday evening.  Click here for more information about what Cubs do and what we have been up to.

The Scout Section is for young people, usually aged between 10½ and 14 years. A young person can come in to the Troop at 10 and may stay until they are 15 years old. The Scout Troop is the third and final Section in the Scout Group.  We meet on a Tuesday evening.  Click here for more information about what Scouts do and what we have been up to.
