Thank you for visiting the pages of 1st Lowton Scout Group. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Working in partnership to enable all our futures to be brighter

About Us - What you can do for us.

We do from time to time; require parental support to run special events or activities. This may involve running some members of the Group to a local campsite or other venue, or helping with fund raisings events. Your support in these matters helps to ensure a vibrant and successful Scout Group where the very best of opportunities are given to your children.

We are also always on the lookout for more Adult Leaders, either in Uniform as fully Warranted (authorised) Leaders  or as a Helper. If you feel that you can fulfil this rewarding role then please contact any Leader or click one of the links above.

If you want to be involved, but not give the commitment required by attending Section meetings, keep on reading.

A Scout Group can benefit enormously by having a well organised group of adults who act as Supporters. The responsibilities of Supporters can be as much or as little as you choose and encompases everything outside the running of Section Meetings (much the same as a schools PTA).

The Supporters ('Friends') can be helped by members of the Group Council of which you are automatically a part if your child is in the Group. The Group Council can act as valuable man-power in fund raising or promotional events. We hope to set up a 'Friends of 1L' that will fulfil this role BUT we need YOUR help to start this.  Overall, this is THE most crucial of bodies within the Group.

The more adult support the Group can muster, the more opportunities will be open to YOUR children.

If you feel you could spare some time, no matter how small, please contact your childs section leader or click here. It really is very rewarding.
